CGC Inc. is currently recruiting a Custodian for our gypsum quarry in Little Narrows, NS! Reporting to the Mill Supervisor, this is a permanent, full-time position operating on a day shift schedule.

Roles & Responsibilities:

· Help maintain a high standard of cleanliness and orderliness in designated building areas such as offices, conference rooms, breakrooms and restrooms and keep area consumables stocked

· Perform custodial duties such as dusting, sanitizing, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash disposal, cleaning ceiling vents, wiping down windows, restroom cleaning,

· Ensure good operation of housekeeping equipment

· Perform and document routine inspection activities.

· Notify supervision of any facility deficiencies and necessary repairs.

· Participate in all safety, continuous improvement, and diversity, equity & inclusion activities as they arise.

· Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

· Previous custodial experience in an industrial environment preferred.

· Ability to conduct duties independently with minimal direction, respecting workplace privacy & confidentiality.

· A track record of positive safety behaviors, attendance, attitude and work performance with a passion for learning new skills.

· High school diploma is required; post-secondary education is not necessary but nice to have.

· Comfortability with basic computer applications is an asset.

· Strong time management skills and high standard of work.
