POSITION SUMMARY
Own, manage and evolve the IT Security Awareness and Training program at USG. This role would be USG’s IT Security Training Coordinator which would entail managing training content delivery to the entire organization, designing and conducting social engineering testing (i.e., simulated phishing), developing best practice informative security communications and alerts, and report status and metrics to various levels of management. Additionally, this role would engage and train personnel throughout the organization on good security behavior and best practices using different tactics and methods. The expectation would be to manage and evolve the program beyond its current maturity.
Travel may be required based on business demand.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Understands the basic tenets of information security and technology risk management. Able to effectively identify security risks throughout the manufacturing business and structure.
· Able to and desires writing proficiently and creatively.
· Can think imaginatively.
· Able to and comfortable using technical training tools to determine content and build out phishing test delivery. Previous experience with the KnowBe4 training platform preferred.
· Can develop and communicate reporting and program metrics throughout varying levels of the organization.
· Able to conduct public speaking and training sessions as it pertains to IT security.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
· Understands program plans and can clearly articulate roles, goals, and schedules.
· Works well with an organized program that has flexibility.
· Able to formally document the program components and vision.
· Able to work proficiently on their own to manage and Grow/Evolve the Security Awareness and Training program as part of the larger IT Security Team.
· Establishes reasonable deadlines, personal work plans and manages time effectively.
· Listens to and takes input from supervisor and team members and appropriately applies comments/feedback.
· Clearly articulates ideas and thoughts verbally. Accurately prepares written business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective and professional.
· Excellent analytical, organizational, communication and people skills.
· Is proactive in assuming additional responsibility.
Job Requirements
-Provides timely and accurate distribution of information and reports
-May be required to provide 24 hour on-call support
-Works with other groups and departments to develop and implement solutions in a timely manner
-Assists in refining operational procedures
-Creates and maintains documentation for processes and standards
-Performs additional responsibilities as assigned
-No supervisory responsibility
-Works under direct supervision, has limited discretion
-Participates in projects of all sizes
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Education Required
-Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
Years of Experience
-A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in a security training or similar role
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
