Mechanic- General Plant Services (GPS)

CGC Inc. is currently recruiting for a Mechanic - GPS for our gypsum plant, based in Hagersville, Ontario.

It's a permanent and full-time position, offering a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate their skills and abilities in a manufacturing operation within a large corporation.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct planned preventive & predictive maintenance and keep maintenance records.
• Operation of plant mobile equipment including snow removal equipment and yard maintenance equipment.
• Recommend and implement corrective action and required repairs.
• Troubleshooting of various plant mechanical equipment.
• General welding and fabrication.
• General knowledge of facility management requirements, including plumbing, general carpentry and waste handling.

Qualifications:

• Skilled trades certification is an asset; however extensive experience and technical expertise with a proven track record of safe operations may be considered.
• Proficient mechanical understanding and strong troubleshooting skills.
• General welding and fabrication knowledge.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
• Demonstrates the ability to work safely. Working knowledge of safety standards and procedures in an industrial environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and a positive attitude who likes working in a team
• Valid DZ license would be considered an asset.

Hourly wage: $36.72 – $45.98

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
