Salary Range: $89,400 - $130,160

Position Overview
The Manufacturing Operations Manager will lead all operating departments at the Ceilings Plus plant, including production scheduling, manufacturing, and shipping/receiving. This role oversees 1 Manager, 3 General Foremen, 1 Hourly Supervisor, and approximately 90 hourly employees. The ideal candidate will drive operations excellence through leadership, safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure all products produced meet or exceed customer expectations for quality and delivery.
Train, motivate, and maintain a high level of safety awareness among all department employees.
Recognize employee strengths and development needs; provide coaching and create training plans for workforce flexibility and efficiency.
Develop succession plans to ensure long-term organizational stability.
Implement strategies to achieve key performance metrics: safety, cost, quality ratings, and on-time delivery.
Ensure compliance with USG policies, best practices, and standard operating procedures.
Support and implement LEAN strategies; coach employees on continuous improvement tools and processes.
Build strong relationships with manufacturing, reliability, engineering, project management, product management, sales, and customers.
Drive advancement in automation and technology to improve plant performance and product reliability.
Promote innovative safety initiatives and maintain high housekeeping standards.
Assist the Plant Manager with special tasks or projects as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
7 - 10 years minimum job-related experience required.
4-5 years of management experience required.
Proven leadership skills with a track record of motivating and developing teams.
Strong organizational, communication, and public speaking skills.
Knowledge of safety compliance programs and continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities; strategic mindset.
Ability to build rapport across all levels and champion talent management and retention initiatives.
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
