Senior Network Optimization Planning Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior NOP Analyst position in USG’s Global Supply Chain organization is responsible for developing network optimization planning (NOP) processes and models, capacity planning and distribution analysis for multiple product families across all lines of business to ensure USG’s supply network satisfies customer demand at the lowest optimal cost.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize LLamasoft to manage network capacity planning and distribution analysis to support long-range network planning, mid-range supply planning, and short-term tactical decision-making.
- Identify network savings opportunities, work with internal and external stakeholders to implement changes, and report captured savings.
- Provide analytical support for strategic supply chain planning and business team projects.
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies and implementation plans to support business plans and corporate strategies.
- Support efforts to analyze and resolve ad hoc operational problems.
- Develop metrics, analytical methods, and reports to drive performance improvement.
- Develop, manage, and maintain required data and planning tools.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong ability to manage and summarize data in a clear, concise manner at the appropriate level of detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to manage cross-functional relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong project management ability and process development skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple work activities simultaneously with high degree of initiative.
- Ability to build linear program optimization and network decision models.
- Ability to support, develop, and implement functional strategies and tactics to meet business objectives.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products. Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience in technology including Tableau, SQL or Power BI. Oracle BI experience preferred.
- Experience in Llamasoft, or similar network optimization software, preferred.
- Experience in Oracle or similar ERP applications preferred.
- APICS CPIM and Green Belt / Black Belt training a plus.
Education
- B.A. or B.S degree (Business; Engineering, Supply Chain; or related field) required.
Years of Experience
- 5+ years relevant experience in supply chain, data analysis, and/or financial analysis
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
