Finance Transformation Analyst
POSITION SUMMARY
As a key member of the Finance Transformation Team, this position will be implementing and maintaining digital tools that eliminate, automate, and enable change to the decision-making culture within the organization. The Analyst will be participating in continuous improvement through process re-engineering, process automation, data analytics, and insight initiatives utilizing emerging digital technologies. The candidate will assist with modifying, maintaining, and enhancing policies, procedures, and standards within the Finance Transformation Center of Excellence. The candidate is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve existing automations, robotic process automation (RPA), etc. They are also responsible for analyzing industry trends and evaluating emerging digital capabilities for use within USG. The Analyst will collaborate with teams across Finance in addition to IT, Global Supply Chain and Customer Experience teams.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Individual contributor who will demonstrate ability to support multiple processes on various technology platforms utilizing working knowledge of relational database design and programming languages.
- Works with internal customers to continuously deliver customer value on new and existing business process automation projects/enhancements
- Lead development and implementation of low to medium complexity business process automation projects/enhancements and be presented opportunities to participate in high complexity business process automation projects/enhancements
- Consistently utilize governance process and tools in order to identify and prioritize value creation opportunities.
- Manage ad hoc requests from internal customers that map to our broader goal of value creation
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams
- Play a key role in accelerating transformation progress and make significant contributions to strategic initiatives.
- Develop and modify documented standards while working with automation tools (process mapping, automation software and RPA).
- Document requirements gathering for projects/enhancements utilizing analytical skills to understand and propose solutions to deliver on improved business outcomes.
Qualifications
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or information technology in business-related field or equivalent experience.
Years of Experience
- 2+ years in increasingly challenging financial and/or technical roles.
Required Skills
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to support change within the organization.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to quickly understand and decompose technical concepts.
- Advanced level abilities with SQL and Excel.
- Data/Process Mining, visualizations
- Experience learning programming/scripting languages such as SQL/PQL, Python and JavaScript
- Working knowledge of relational database design
