POSITION SUMMARY
Works collaboratively with the various groups within the Information Technology department and with the business units to ensure that the appropriate level of quality is designed into information technology solutions. Assures QA standards, guidelines, and procedures are adhered to. Travel may be required up to 10%. This is a hybrid position with 2 days a week in the office.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Executes test cases/plans; analyzes and presents test results.
- Effectively uses the relevant aids and tools available from the quality control and quality assurance perspective.
- Analyzes, reviews, and modifies test cases/plans to ensure quality control guidelines are met.
- Helps to ensure that changes do not adversely affect other areas of a given application or system, or related interfacing applications and systems.
- Works closely with offshore and nearshore QA team and assists in resolving issues they may encounter while performing testing activities.
- Assists in the preparation of test estimates.
- Keeps abreast of current and emerging information technology, especially regarding quality assurance.
- May participate in the evaluation of vendor software.
- May participate in migration planning.
- Prepares and documents test cases/plans.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Developing Others: Trains and mentors new and/or less experienced team members in quality-related areas.
- Teamwork: Works with other groups and departments to develop and implement solutions in a timely manner.
- Work Quality: Reviews test cases/plans to ensure adherence to specifications, quality, and procedural standards.
- Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Communication: Communicates with internal customers in non-technical terms. Communicates with applications, architecture, and operations teams on issues that are encountered in testing and possible resolutions.
- Role is limited to assigning work and reviewing work of others, does not conduct performance reviews.
- Works under limited supervision, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals.
- Leads medium to large projects; participates in projects of all sizes.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field preferred
Years of Experience
A minimum of 8 years of relevant information technology experience, with the most recent experience in quality assurance testing.
Required Skills:
- Experience with full development lifecycle and Agile Methodologies.
- Experience reviewing functional & technical requirements.
- Experience writing test plan/approach documents.
- Expert in creating and executing test cases and scripts.
- Experience reviewing test cases/plans.
- Experience estimating required test effort.
- Solid understanding of current software testing best practices.
- Experience with testing methodologies and approaches.
- Experience working with relevant QA tools.
- Demonstrates strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task & work with competing priorities.
- Intermediate/Advanced experience with creating SQL or PL/SQL views/materialized views.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant information technologies and how to incorporate quality in application development.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with PL/SQL.
- Experience in Reports testing.
- Demonstrates strong technical aptitude & troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of test automation concepts.
- Experience with Informatica.
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
