CGC Inc. is currently recruiting a Quarry Supervisor for our quarry operation in Little Narrows, Nova Scotia! This is a permanent position currently operating on a day shift schedule. As this is a startup operation, the Quarry Supervisor will follow a full shift rotation of days / nights / weekends as operational needs evolve.
As Quarry Supervisor, you will:
- Create a safe and productive quarry environment, following all company and provincial rules and regulations related to mining operations
- Supervise daily quarry operations including stripping and mining plan, drilling and blasting operations, data management, problem solving etc.
- Hold team members accountable to good safety, work life, attendance and productivity behaviors
- Actively coach team members to support progression through the established operator rate & training program
- Provides technical support and input related to mobile and mechanical equipment
- Actively supports company values and initiatives around diversity & inclusion, continuous improvement, training & development, etc.
- Understand that safety is not just a priority, it is what we do.
What you bring:
- At least 5 years of experience in a mine / quarry setting with previous experience in a supervisory role
- Effective communication & presentation skills both 1:1 and in a group setting as required for delivering feedback, performance evaluations, training sessions, etc.
- Must qualify to be certified and listed as a Responsible Person for the quarry’s federal explosives license.
- Reasonable competency with digital tools
- Ability to evaluate performance and leverage tools to retain, engage and develop team members
- A track record of great work performance, attendance, and safety behaviors.
The successful candidate will be subject to pre-employment fitness-for-duty screening.

Hours: Monday-Thursday from 7am - 5pm but will follow a full shift rotation of days / nights / weekends as operational needs evolve
Pay: $37.07/hr CAD
