Reliability - Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor

Reporting to the Reliability Foreman, the Reliability Maintenance Supervisor is a supervisory position whose primary responsibility is to create a safe and effective maintenance team and ensure all equipment is well maintained through support, enforcement, and implementation of all safety rules and maintenance procedures.

Basic Accountabilities:
- Compliance with and enforcement of all plant safety rules, policies, and maintenance procedures.
- Supervise and direct activities of 2nd and 3rd shift Reliability crews.
- Work with Production to schedule and execute work order schedules.
- Lead team to locate sources of equipment and system problems by troubleshooting and using measuring and testing instruments to isolate problems. Perform timely repairs and/or parts replacements or recommendations to correct.
- Proficient with use of hand and power tools, cranes/hoists, rigging equipment, welders, variety of mobile equipment, etc.
- Fully support the EAM program to maintain equipment.
- As needed, supervise contractors and ensure safe, efficient, and quality work.
- Strong organizational and time management skills. Must be an independent self-starter.
- Able to communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Capable of delivering training in both one-on-one and group settings.
- General computer skills and knowledge.
Required Qualifications:
- Must meet essential physical requirements related to regularly sitting, talking, listening, standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms. Occasionally climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Predictable attendance.
- Ability to maintain a high-level of housekeeping in all areas of the job.
- Wear and use all required personal protective equipment (PPE) in including, but not limited to, hard hat, steel toe shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, high-visibility clothing, etc.
- Adaptable to scheduling requirements including evening and overnight shiftwork, assignment of overtime, working weekends, and/or holidays as assigned.
- Must support, encourage, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
- Have ability to understand verbal and written instructions from plant leadership and efficiently and effectively perform assigned tasks.
- Willingness to work in hot, cold, and often dusty environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience, preferably in industrial maintenance.
- Post-secondary education in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial technologies.
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
