Primary Function:
The Reliability Professional is responsible for the development, auditing and updating of the plant’s Asset Reliability Improvement Program, including but not limited to, EAM database management, Preventative Maintenance and Operator Basic Care Documentation, Visual Work Instruction (VWI) development, Equipment Spare Parts Inventory, Root Cause Failure Analysis and Continuous Improvement activities.
Basic Requirements:
1. Meets Essential Physical Requirements of the position.
2. Understand and adhere to all department and general plant safety rules.
3. Strong, demonstratable computer skills in database management; Microsoft Office Suite (PPT, Excel, Word) Oracle, EAM.
4. Extensive knowledge and understanding of USG Reliability Performance Model (RPM) Program.
5. Possess the ability to create, update and archive documents and work instructions.
6. Work effectively in a team environment.
7. Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
8. No significant performance/ attendance infractions within the last 36 months.
9. High degree of mechanical aptitude, learning capacity and self-motivation.
10. Basic papermaking process knowledge and how areas of responsibility affect production.
11. Possess good communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
Job Procedures and Requirements:
General Requirements
1. Responsible for the RPM – PPM Optimization Program.
2. Must be knowledgeable in computerized maintenance databases. Responsibilities include updating equipment records, information, spare parts and Work Order Documentation utilizing EAM.
3. Verification of inventory items, generation of work requests/orders, work order completion, and reporting procedures per USG RPM Model Program.
4. Attend all morning meetings, resource allocation, and shutdown planning meetings.
Level 1 Requirements (Mech 2 Rate)
· Basic knowledge and implementation of RPM Process
· Basic knowledge of EAM administration and database management
o Work order flow and documentation
o Equipment/Parts Associations
o Work Scheduling
o Documentation archiving
· Must be able to perform duties as Back-Up Planner, and Back-Up Storeroom Attendant.
· Work with Storeroom on Cycle Count and Kitting Improvements.
· Technical support of daily maintenance effort.
· Reliability VWI auditing and development
· Work with Engineers on commissioning new equipment (Set up equipment record, organize documentation, set up PMs, and enter spare parts into inventory).
Level 2 Requirements (Mech 3 Rate)
· Advanced knowledge and implementation of RPM Management
· Advanced knowledge of EAM administration and database management
o KPI Tracking/Improvements and communication to Managers and Hourly employees.
o Delay tracking and reporting to Management and Hourly employees.
o Update equipment spare parts codes and identify critical spares.
o Work with Planner on 4-week schedule (of required PMs) and development of detailed job plans.
o PM/PPM task development and audits
· CI Activities including Area/Reflection Board updates, RCFA assessments.
· Must be able to perform duties as Procurement Coordinator
· Resource for LSS Green Belt & Black Belt. Participation in LSS projects.
· Work with the MRO team and work on Inventory Optimization and procurement improvements.
Level 3 Requirements (Mech 4 Rate)
· Subject Matter Expert (SME) of RPM Management
· SME of EAM administration and database management
· Must be able to perform duties as Step-Up Reliability Foreman and Reliability Manager
· Project management of new/upgraded equipment including critical sparing, equipment hierarchy, PM/PPM/OBC development and training.
· Lead the MRO team and work on Inventory Optimization and procurement improvements
· Model Program Ownership (one segment)
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
