IT Business Analyst Intern

The IT Business Analyst Intern will be responsible for providing daily project support and data analysis. Tasks may include entry-level coding projects, data analysis, data input, and documentation such as training guides and requirements gathering across multiple projects. The role involves interaction with end users, vendors, and various levels within USG IT. Additionally, the intern may be required to handle metrics and conduct basic issue analysis.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Assist in and perform requirements gathering.
- Examine business needs to ensure they are validated and understood.
- Prepare presentations and Visio process maps.
- Undertake small PL/SQL coding projects.
Internal Qualifications:
Education:
- Currently enrolled in a program to obtain a bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science, preferably Management Information Systems. Senior status is preferred.
Required Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Solid communication skills, both verbal and written, utilizing various mediums (IM, email, phone, face-to-face); ability to work positively and congenially with end users.
- Effective time management.
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation using various tools.
- Basic programming skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Oracle PL/SQL.
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
