SUPPLY CHAIN PLANNING INTERN

DESCRIPTION:

As a Supply Chain Intern at USG, you will gain hands-on experience in the intersection of supply chain management and computer science. This role will primarily focus on utilizing different technology software including Python to develop, enhance, and maintain supply chain processes. You will work closely with our experienced supply chain professionals to contribute to real projects that drive significant impact on our operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Optimization and Modeling

· Use Python and other technologies to develop optimization models for various supply chain scenarios, such as inventory management, demand forecasting, and transportation planning.

· Implement algorithms to solve supply chain problems and improve decision-making processes specifically for inventory management with creating new stocking policy.

Data Analysis and Visualization

· Utilize Python to analyze large datasets related to supply chain planning.

· Create data visualizations using Tableau and Microsoft Office to provide insights into supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement.

Collaboration and Communication

· Work closely with cross-functional teams, including supply chain managers, inventory planners and supply planners.

· Attend team meetings and contribute to project planning and discussions.

· Communicate effectively with team members to provide updates and seek feedback on your work.

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
