MINE INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN

CGC Inc. is currently recruiting for a Mine Industrial Electrician for our gypsum plant, based in Hagersville, Ontario.
It's a permanent and full-time position, offering a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate their leadership ability and electrical expertise in a manufacturing operation within a large corporation.
Reporting to the Mine Electrical Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting the daily operations of servicing the Mine department.
Additional responsibilities of the Mine Industrial Electrician include:
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical distribution equipment and heavy mobile equipment.
- Maintaining, testing and repairing AC/DC motors and motor control systems.
- Interpreting readings taken from electrical testing equipment.
- Conducting preventive maintenance programs and keeping maintenance records.
- Reading and interrupting wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Maintaining a high standard for housekeeping within the work area.
- Maintaining safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Electrician or Graduate of the Electrical Engineering Technician - Power Program who is willing to participate in an apprenticeship program and obtain an electrical certification.
- Must be capable of working in a mine setting in a safe manner and following all safety rules and practices.
- Possess fundamental knowledge of AC and DC power systems and controls.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills.
- Highly motivated, results orientated team player.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to cooperate with co-workers in areas of safety, quality, and understands importance of completing assigned tasks and their relationship to other requirements. Recognize unsafe conditions or hazards within work area.
- Must be able to work 10- or 12-hour rotating shifts. 10-hour shift is generally Monday-Friday. 12-hour shift includes weekends.

Hourly wage: $34.08 to $46.85
Hours: on-site position in Hagersville, ON, must be able to work 10-12 hour rotating shifts, weekends included
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
