CGC Inc. Is currently recruiting a Mechanical Foreman for our Wheatland County (Carseland), Alberta plant.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team of 4 Electricians and 2 PLC/Automation Technicians.
- Maintain and install all plant electrical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations (CGC, Provincial, Federal).
- Promote a safe work culture and ensure employees are fit for work.
- Support and evaluate the operator rate program.
- Lead daily electrical activities to ensure efficient operation.
- Provide coaching and development to team members.
- Maintain the Plant RPM program and prioritize scheduled work.
- Develop and execute a preventative maintenance program.
- Keep accurate documentation for motors and electrical systems.
- Design and layout new electrical installations and control circuits.
- Collaborate with other plant departments for coordinated activities.
- Train, develop, and retain competent employees.
- Drive continuous improvement within the Electrical function.
- Handle administrative tasks as required by Maintenance General Foreman or Maintenance & Engineering Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent.
- Proven electrical maintenance experience at the supervisor level
- Safety-first mentality.
- A strong understanding of the RPM model
- Working knowledge of the plant processes
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
- Proficient in required computer-based applications and diligent oversight of assigned administrative and record-keeping tasks
- Training, coaching, developing, and retaining competent employees to ensure appropriate depth and skill proficiency.
- Engage employees in pursuit of a positive and productive work environment.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts within Electrical function.
- Periodic travel may be required (US/CAN)
Additional Information:
Schedule - Monday-Friday on-site role, 8-hour workdays
Pay - CAD $67,080 - $89,400 per annum. This position is eligible for overtime beyond the base pay.
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
